HISTORY OF THE ANNISON BUILDING

The building which housed the Annison Funeral Parlour for more than a hundred years is a place where poltergiest activity is said to be rife. One of the more lurid stories associated with Annisons is the mysterious murder of 18 year old Mary Jane Langley. She was last seen visiting the studio of a photographer in the building to have her portrait taken in 1891. After she left the studio she was later found dead in Long Lane, Preston - with her throat slit. No-one was ever convicted of her murder and the Police investigation was a joke. Perhaps the ghost of Mary haunts the Annison building to this day aas she has been seen by many, many visitors and staff who visit or wor in the building.

PARKING

Parking is limited outside the Pharmacy and surrounding streets. However there is a car park adjacent to the building for a flat rate of £2 for 24hrs payable by card.
